LaFemme Musica Project

I started this project in 2021 with the intent to go through the decades and across a variety of genres to comprehensively (as possible) recognize the celebrated icons and unsung heroes in music history who are women and femme people through colorful portrait illustrations.

 

Music plays an important role in my life and it is often the music of women and femmes that inspires me the most. It only seemed appropriate to pay tribute.

I create all of these portraits in the Procreate application on my Apple iPad Pro.

I also shared these illustrations alongside biographies and short process videos on the Instagram page for the project.

​

The project is currently on indefinite hiatus, but I hope to come back to it someday.
