Lilith's Fare

My current ongoing series of paintings, started in 2019. Through these paintings, I explore women's experiences and feminist topics as well as other social issues. The name Lilith's Fare is a play on Lilith Fair, a travelling music festival in 1990s that was made up of solely women musicians and female-fronted bands. The festival itself is named after Lilith, a figure in Jewish lore, who was the first woman and refused to submit to Adam. Lilith's Fare was also the name of my BFA solo exhibition.
